If you enjoy the comfort of travelling with your caravan and are looking for a peaceful Northumberland campsite close to Hadrian’s Wall, our site offers a relaxed and well-spaced place to settle in.
Whether you’re stopping for a short break or staying a little longer, you’ll find plenty of room, easy access and a welcoming atmosphere.
Our caravan pitches are set on level hardstanding or, in the Summer season, the grass pitches are perfect. The pitches are all on the bottom level of the site so you won’t need to pull your caravan up steep and narrow roads. You can head straight on to your pitch when you arrive. All pitches have electric hook-up and are generously spaced, so you can sit outside and enjoy the views without feeling crowded.
Wherever you pitch, you will be blessed with fantastic views without even leaving your caravan! You can choose one of our hardstanding pitches with open views over to the fells where the fell ponies graze and annually have their foals. These are ideal for caravans up to 8m long including twin axle caravans. The pitches are gravelled so you can easily use your awning.
Our hardstanding with grass caravan pitches have a lovely aspect, looking over to Hadrian’s Wall in the West with a spectacular view for the sunsets and, in the same area we have our grass pitches – great if you prefer less gravel around.
You will be close to the dedicated service area for emptying and refilling your waste and water carriers. The facilities are nearby where you’ll find hot, powerful showers, washing-up area and a laundry room with a communal fridge and freezer making your stay easy and comfortable. We always keep them spotlessly clean.
We are dog friendly as well. We would love to see your canine companion here if you have one and we even have a few treats to welcome them in our shop.
Our small shop stocks essentials and holiday treats, and if you’d rather not cook, our morning café serves breakfast rolls made with local sausages, bacon and eggs, alongside barista coffee using Northumberland-roasted beans. Everything is available to take away so you can enjoy breakfast at your caravan at your own pace.
Our nearest local pubs are within walking distance along footpaths, making for a lovely stroll through the countryside, with chances to spot curlews and, in spring and summer, enjoy the constant song of skylarks.
Hadrian’s Wall is less than a mile away, making the campsite an excellent base for walking and exploring Roman history straight from the site. There’s also a local bus stop around a ten-minute walk away, so once you’ve arrived and set up, you can leave the car behind and simply enjoy your stay.
