"The hut had everything we needed, and we were super cosy even when it dropped to -2 outside. Dog friendly and firepits allowed (also provided at the Shepherds huts). Amazing little spot for winter camping and stargazing! Weather was great, and we had a beautiful walk along Hadrian's wall, up to Steel Rig and then to Twice Brewed for a spot of lunch and some takeaway craft beers. What a friendly campsite and local area. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back."
